Mulligan’s Pub on Lincoln Street was packed and rocking on Saturday evening as dozens of patrons flooded in to pay their final respects to the beloved Biddeford tavern that will close permanently on Sunday evening.
“It just doesn’t seem real,” said one patron. “This place is going to be missed . . . big time. Biddeford is changing, and I’m not sure it’s for the best,”
Nick and Ashley Lefebvre sat at the bar taking in all the “joyous sorrow” surrounding them.
“We had to come in one more time before they closed for good,” said Angie Hutchinson of Old Orchard Beach.
“Mulligan’s is an institution,” said Chelsea Gaudette. “It’s right up there with Pizza by Alex, George’s and Reilly’s Bakery.”
