LETTER | Immigrant killers? Let’s stick to facts

Editor:

In this age of lies and half-truths, one cannot let total falsehoods go unacknowledged.

We refer to a recent letter to the editor that claims five Mainers were murdered by illegal immigrants and went unpunished. Planned hearing reveals political hypocrisy; Biddeford Gazette, Aug 15, 2026

Upon quick research on the web, one finds the accusation to be a total fabrication and therefore must be called out for what it is — a lie.

If this had actually happened the [suspects] would have been caught, tried and punished and then deported.

One wonders whether the letter writer holds the same views when it comes to the killings of Renee Good, Alex Preti or the young man in Biddeford killed by ICE agents.

So far, there has been no prosecution for these killings. And that is not a lie.
