Mayor’s CNN interview encapsulates his position on Monday’s ICE shooting

Biddeford Mayor Liam LaFountain spoke late Monday evening with a reporter from CNN International. During that interview, LaFountain offered a clear summary of how he is working to lead the city through an event that rocked the community.

The Biddeford Gazette has obtained raw video footage of Biddeford Mayor Liam LaFountain speaking with a reporter from CNN from the City Council chambers late Monday evening.

LaFountain said he has been in regular contact with state and federal officials, including U.S. Senators Angus King and Susan Collins. LaFountain has also been maintaining close contact with Gov. Janet Mills and is continuing to monitor breaking news updates about the incident.
