OCTOBER 10, 2024: Biddeford Mayoral Debate
The Biddeford Gazette is hosting a 90-minute live debate with the three candidates who want to be Biddeford’s next mayor,
Candidates Norman Belanger, Marty Grohman and Liam LaFountain will take questions from a three-member panel of local reporters, including representatives from Saco Bay News, the Biddeford-Saco Courier and the Biddeford Gazette.
The public is encouraged to submit questions for the candidates in advance of the debate. Questions from the public should be submitted to biddefordgazette@gamail.com
Craig Pendleton will serve as the meeting’s moderator. We hope to have the debate televised on the city’s public access television channel and recorded for later broadcast on social media

OCTOBER 12 2024: , Meet Candidates Abigail Woods and Nasreen Sheik-Yousef, 2 – 5p.m.
City Council candidates Abigail Woods and Nasreen A. Sheik-Yousef will be hosting a forum for community members. Woods is running for the Ward Two Council seat; Sheik-Yousef is running for one of the council’s two at-large seats against Marc Lessard and Lisa Vadnais. The event is being held at an undisclosed location. Members of the public are required to RSVP to learn the location.


OCTOBER 14, 2024, Town Hall Meeting about bond questions
The Biddeford City Council will host a town hall meeting on Oct. 14, beginning at 6 p.m., at the J. Richard Martin Community Center, located at 189 Alfred Street.
City staff and department heads will be available to answer public questions regarding the proposed bon referendum questions.
