WHEN IS VOTING DAY?

The next municipal election will be held on Tuesday, November 4. The polls will be open at Biddeford High School Tiger Gym (20 Maplewood Avenue) from 7:00 a.m. to 8 p.m.

WHAT WILL BE ON THE BALLOT?

Biddeford voters will be deciding who will be the city’s next mayor and will also choose a slate of candidates for both the city council and the Biddeford School Committee.

This year, Biddeford voters will also decide the fate of two local bond questions; and will be able to weigh in on two statewide referendum questions. HOW DO I REGISTER TO VOTE?

You can register to vote by the following methods:

  • In Person at City Hall with the documentation listed below. You can register in person all year, up to and including Election Day.
  • Online via the State of Maine Online Voter Registration Service. This option is available up to 20 days prior to Election Day, then it will close until the day after the election.
  • By mail using the Maine Voter Registration Application. You will need to include a photocopy of the required ID as listed below. Registrations by mail need to be received in the Clerk’s office at least 20 days prior to each election.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE CANDIDATES ARE REPUBLICANS OR DEMOCRATS?

The city of Biddeford has had non-partisan elections for more than 30 years. There are no political primaries.

HOW DO I FIND OUT MY VOTING WARD DESIGNATION?
