Mia Mariello recognized for her 100th career goal; Tigers will face Falmouth on Tuesday and Gorham on Thursday

The Tigers came ready to play in their home opener at Waterhouse Field on Saturday. The Noble Knights’ defense came up short against a steady Biddeford offense that racked up six goals before the final whistle.
Getting the Tigers on the board early was junior captain Mia Mariello. She was soon followed by freshman forward Aubrey Forcier. A goal by sophomore Rachel Lagasse put the Tigers up 3-0.
Senior captain Emily Hussey added two goals, while freshman Milania Jackson also found the back of the net for Biddeford.
A strong defensive effort kept the Knights scoreless, and the Tigers came away with the 6-0 win.
While the first home game of the season is always special, Saturday also marked an important milestone for Mariello, who was recognized at halftime for scoring her 100th career goal.
The Tigers are on the road twice this week, facing Falmouth on Tuesday and Gorham on Thursday.
