The Class of 2025 inductees include Gerry Berthiaume ’73, Carrie (Binette) LeGrow ’03, Brian Curit ’82, Benjamin Gosselin ‘96, Liz Labelle, Raymond “Babe” Loranger, and the 1984 Biddeford High School Baseball Team. These individuals and the team were selected for their extraordinary achievements in sports, their impact on the Biddeford athletic community, and their lasting contributions beyond the playing field.

“This Hall of Honor class truly represents the very best of Biddeford athletics, competitors, leaders, and contributors who have shaped our programs and our community in lasting ways,” said Biddeford High School Athletic Director Dennis Walton. “What stands out about the Class of 2025 is not just what they achieved, but how they carried themselves, with pride, humility, and a deep connection to this community. Their impact spans generations, and their stories continue to inspire what it means to be a Tiger today.”

Building on decades of Tiger excellence, this year’s inductees represent a wide range of contributions and accomplishments across generations. Gerry Berthiaume ’73 is remembered as one of Biddeford’s most versatile athletes, a standout baseball player who went on to earn collegiate honors and a career in professional baseball operations. Carrie (Binette) LeGrow ’03 brought energy and leadership to Biddeford’s cheerleading program, earning All-American honors before performing on the world stage as a New England Patriots cheerleader.

This year’s class also honors individuals and teams whose impact extends far beyond individual accolades. Liz Labelle is recognized as a Hall of Honor Contributor for more than 30 years of dedicated service to Biddeford athletics through the Booster Club and community leadership. Raymond “Babe” Loranger, a standout athlete from the St. Louis High School Class of 1947, is celebrated for his All-State football honors and exceptional baseball career, leaving a legacy of toughness and pride that still resonates today.

The 1984 Biddeford High School Baseball Team is remembered for its historic championship season, capturing the program’s first state title through a remarkable postseason run and setting a standard of excellence that continues to inspire future generations of Tigers.

The Biddeford Athletics Hall of Honor was established in 2013 to pay tribute and honor those who have brought distinction to Biddeford High School through their athletic achievements, contributions to sports, and positive impact on the community. The Hall of Honor Selection Committee carefully evaluates nominees based on their adherence to these principles.

Over the past 12 years, Biddeford has inducted 108 individuals and four teams into the Athletic Hall of Honor. The list is diverse; males and females represent nearly every athletic offering and span almost 100 years of our school’s history.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, inductees and guests attended a private social held at The Lincoln Hotel, thanks to the support of the following Hall of Honor partners: Ashford Squad, Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Biddeford Athletic Association, Brady Screenprint & Embroidery, Camden National Bank, Randy Forcier of CMG Home Loans, Diverse Anecdote LLC, Jim Godbout Plumbing & Heating, Joe McKenney Photography, KP Asphalt & Landscaping, Matt Forcier of LMV Productions, Magnant Seamless Gutters, Maine Coast Roast, Mick’s Sports Bar, Paquin & Carroll Insurance, PeoplesChoice Credit Union, Prestige House of Flowers, Ruck Roofing, Saco & Biddeford Savings, Saco Valley Credit Union, St. Louis Alumni Association, Superior Sign, and The Lincoln Hotel.
