Donna Pothier Nagle | April 30, 1952 – May 10, 2026

Donna Lillian Pothier Nagle passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026 at the age of 74. She was born on April 30, 1952 in Biddeford, Maine as a twin daughter to Joseph Charles and Laurette Pothier. She grew up in a large family of six siblings and graduated from St. Louis High School in 1970.

After high school, Donna began a career as an administrative assistant at SD Warren Company in Westbrook, Maine, where she quickly became known for her dependability, efficiency and organizational skills—qualities her colleagues deeply appreciated.

Her adventurous spirit eventually led her to San Diego, California where she built a new chapter of her life and continued her career with several corporations, including Jostens. She loved her work and took pride in doing it well.

Sadly, a chronic, debilitating illness forced Donna to step away from her work too early—a loss she felt deeply. But by then, she had embraced her most cherished role: mother to her twin boys, Tommy and Cory, who became the center of her world. Even from afar, she remained devoted to her parents and connected to her siblings.

Donna’s fearless determination and independence inspired all those who knew her.  Though she lived with lifelong illness and pain, she met each day with humor and grit. What her family and friends remember most is not her struggle but her unique sense of humor and the laughter she brought to us all.

Donna was predeceased by her son Cory Nagle and her parents, Joseph Charles and Laurette Pothier. She is survived by her son, Thomas Nagle, siblings, Charlene Pothier Smith (Dave), twin sister Mona Pothier Murphy, Bonita Pothier, John Pothier (Joline), Charles Pothier (Peg), as well as more than a dozen nieces and nephews.

Donna’s strength, humor, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

There will be a graveside ceremony August 18, 2026 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Biddeford.
