BUSINESS | Saco & Biddeford Savings, Paquin & Carroll win ‘gold honors’ in Portland Press Herald contest

Saco & Biddeford Savings and Paquin & Carroll Insurance have each earned gold honors in the inaugural Best of Biddeford + Saco Community Contest, a local awards program created by the Portland Press Herald’s parent company.

The contest was designed to celebrate businesses, organizations and services that make the Biddeford-Saco area “a vibrant place to live, work and visit.”

Presented as a celebration of the “best” the area has to offer — from dining and shopping to arts, entertainment, financial services and more — the contest invited Press Herald readers and community members to nominate and vote for their favorite local businesses across more than 70 categories.

“We are honored to be recognized by the people who know this community best: our neighbors, customers and local partners,” said Mark Jones, CEO and president of Saco & Biddeford Savings.

“For nearly two centuries, our work has been rooted in relationships and a deep commitment to our community. This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from the very people we serve,” Jones added.

Paquin & Carroll Insurance was also recognized with gold honors, reflecting its long-standing commitment to helping individuals, families and businesses protect what matters most through trusted insurance guidance and personal service.
